Who We Are
PicKu is run by a small team that maintains both the product and everything published on this site. We are not a content farm: we do not republish, spin, or mass-generate articles with automation tools. Contact details are available on our contact page.
Where Our Content Comes From
Our content falls into two categories with entirely different sources:
1. Content based on real operational data. PicKu is a live tool that processes real link redirects every day. We use anonymized, aggregated operational data — click distributions, referrer composition, device and browser breakdowns — in our analysis and writing. For example, every number in "What Short Link Analytics Cannot Tell You" comes from five months and 27,013 real clicks recorded on this site. These figures are reproducible from our database. We do not fabricate data.
2. Content based on hands-on experience. Tutorial articles (how to shorten a link, how to set up a custom domain) are verified by actually performing the full flow on our own product before publishing — not written from imagination. When the product interface changes, we revisit older tutorials for accuracy.
What We Do Not Write
- Feature descriptions we have not verified ourselves;
- Promises we cannot substantiate (such as unverifiable claims like "boost click-through rates by 300%");
- Thin, near-duplicate articles built for search traffic — overlapping topics get merged into one thorough piece instead.
Updates and Corrections
How-to content ages as the product evolves. Our practice: review high-traffic articles quarterly for accuracy; fix errors directly and note the update date in the article. If you find a mistake, tell us via the contact page — we respond within 5 business days.
Advertising and Disclosure
This site is funded by Google AdSense. Ads are served by Google; we do not write sponsored posts for specific advertisers, and our editorial positions do not change based on advertising. Unless explicitly noted, we have no paid relationships with third-party services mentioned in our articles.
Note on AI Tools
We use AI to assist with data compilation and proofreading, but topic selection, data interpretation, conclusions, and final review of every article are done — and owned — by humans. All data-driven analysis on this site is grounded in real system records.
